Are There Other Uses for Grindr?

We all know that the Grindr app lets gay men find Mr. Right – or Mr. Right Now -- with a few keystrokes and swipes.
But the following Queerty article suggests that a growing (but still small) number of guys are using Grindr for more general purposes -- in this case, where to get late-night food:

Have you ever used Grindr for something unrelated to a pick-up? Looking for a roommate? A platonic friend? Places to dance? Gay-friendly vacation ideas? Or, something else entirely that came up in conversation?

People can say whatever they want on their info page, but personally I think they really are just looking for a hook up. I know I've read such stuff in my day.

I used it for dating – and sex. It's my go to app when I'm traveling.
Now my purpose is to get laid, but with it I usually get a date with a tour from a local perspective, so kinda both. -
People who are grindr are looking to get they dick sucked.

Never hooked up with anyone, and technically I use scruff, but I just use it to see the most recent and most "liked/woofed" guys to find hot guys to follow on instagram.
