A Gold Coast father accused of being a serial sex attacker preying on school girls has been denied bail after refusing to appear in court.

Seven News can reveal the frightening evidence against Troy Johnson, who’s accused of attacking a young victim while wearing a military style camouflage suit, and how police finally tracked down their suspect.

Social media shows Troy Stephen Johnson as a happily married father of three.

But detectives allege a vastly different picture, claiming he’s sexually assaulted two girls aged just 11 and 12.
On Sunday the 31 year old refused to front Wyong Local Court, after spending the night in hospital following an alleged attempt to give himself a lethal dose of insulin.

Court documents reveal police began their investigations in June after his first alleged victim came forward.

Police then seized Johnson’s mobile phone, allegedly finding a carefully crafted plot to attack a second victim at Narara, including aerial shots of bushland.

The also found photos of Mr Johnson in a Ghillie suit, which police allege was worn during the sickening attack in May.

More photos allegedly show the victim’s exposed body and, police say, they used mobile phone tower technology to place Johnson at the scene at the time of the assault.

He allegedly bound, gagged and sexually the 12 year old.

After he was arrested Johnson was brought to the Wyong Police Station where he denied all of the allegations.
When shown a photo of the camouflage suit he said he only knew it was a Ghillie suit because he was a hunter.

But in a raid of his Woongarah home police allegedly uncovered the camouflage clothing as well as knives and cable ties.

Johnson is due to face Gosford Local Court on Monday where he is expected to apply for bail.
