Question about freeleeching a torrent
-
Hello! I'm interested in making a torrent freeleech but I dont see any button that gives that option. How does it work? Any beginner step by step advice would be great! Thanks!

For a start do you know how much seed bonus you have?

@Aznstan 2 criteria must be met at the same time for the freeleech button to be visible for members:
1 - torrent is at least 7 days old
2- user has enough bonus points to make the torrent freeleech for at least 24 hours.First one is quite easy, nobody can freeleech a torrent during its first week online.
Second one requires some quick maths: Each 5MB consumes 1 point per 24 hours.Some examples:
100MB = 20 points
500MB = 100 points
1GB = 200 points
10GB = 2000 pointsStrictly for 24 hour freeleech, the formula is:
total size in MB / 5 = required points
For a per-hour formula:total mb x duration in hours / 120 -

And also some of the larger torrents I was looking at I probably don't have enough seed points either so that is also helpful to learn!
Thanks!

@BKisalive I have about 6000 so maybe some of the really large GB torrents I was looking at are not nearly enough seedpoints currently for me to freeleech (or theyre too new). Thanks
