"The Labour Party has won only 17% of the seats it was defending. 83% loss. Reform however has won 56% and wasn't defending any seats."

Back when Labour "won" with only 20-33% (being 33% of ballots, 20% of voters), I figured they'd govern this badly.

Reform overtakes strongholds of both Labour & Conservative ๐Ÿ‘ฝ says Farage.

"Labour Party loses 1,303 Council seats as Reform gains over 1,400 in UK election"

        https://humanevents.com/2026/05/09/keir-starmers-labour-party-loses-1303-council-seats-as-reform-gains-over-1400-in-uk-election

Reform UK [also] swept the Conservative Party in Essex and Suffolk

        AI says:

Council seats (post-election, England totals reported): Reform UK 1,453; Labour 1,052; Liberal Democrats 843; Conservative 800; Green 550; Independents/others 205.

Vote shares (national/NEV-style estimates from these elections): Reform ~27%; Conservative ~20%; Labour ~19%; Green ~16%; Liberal Democrats ~12%; others smaller โ€” these estimates are consistent with election analyses and seat-projection models

Reform's share is down a bit from 2024. But this election was a credibility-building exercise, first time Reform dominated results.

        "Nutty lib" vote - Green + Liberal + Labour - is at 47% ...... ...... equals Reform + Conservative at 47%.
