      Hi GayTor.rent Support Team,

I recently joined your community and I am excited to be a part of it. However, I am facing an issue with downloading/seeding and I hope you can help me.

Because of strict internet censorship in my country, your website is completely blocked by local ISPs. Therefore, I am forced to use a VPN just to access the site and browse.

The problem is, when I load the .torrent file into my client (qBittorrent), the tracker status shows as "Not working" with a "Forbidden" message. It seems the tracker is blocking my VPN's IP address.

I really want to maintain a good ratio and keep my torrents seeding 24/7. Is there any way to whitelist my account/VPN, or is there a specific setup you recommend for users who must use a VPN due to regional blocks?

      My username is: vkte33

Thank you for your time and help.

      Best regards,

@vkte33 which VPN app are you using?
I have been using Proton VPN for downloading torrents, including from this tracker, never had any issues with it. It's worth noting that the tracker itself doesn't block IP ranges pertaining to VPN servers, so if you truly are connecting with a VPN the tracker should not be blocking you.

It might be a misconfiguration in your qbittorrent. Check in the qbittorrent logs if the external IP address is really your VPN's, and if other trackers work normally.

@ianfontinell I am actually using the same VPN as well. After several attempts and reconnecting a few times, I finally managed to get it working and the tracker status changed to Working

I really appreciate the information and the time you took to help me out.
