Partially downloaded torrents now permanently stuck as Leeching

Just figured out today why I started getting the "too many torrents" error in my client and can no longer download anything from this site - because I have 8 partially downloaded torrents (meaning I only downloaded some files but not all) permanently stuck as leeching torrents, which is the maximum number of torrents I'm allowed to download at a time. All 8 torrents have been inactive in my client for a while and I just deleted all of them, but they're still shown as leeching torrents. So how do I fix this??

@indirevri-0 after you pause a torrent it can take several minutes before it disappears from the leeching list.
when you stop seeding, it updates almost in real time, same is true for when you finish downloading ALL files. But partial torrents are not as fast, I don't really know why.
When I don't plan to download all files, I add a tag to help find it more easily later.
