For, you know, Gavin, Hillary, Big Mike, or maybe Dr. Jill?
In terms of rules/laws...... DNC is allowed to confirm Biden as nominee, and then, just a bit later, have him "have a medical event" & withdraw, so DNC can declare (new candidate).
Great for DNC, because it prevents having to consult actual Dem voters, in primary elections. Back-room politics & top-down orders from Party Central....what libs love.
In some States, they might still have to say "Biden" on ballots tho. That could be a problem.
In theory, if Dem candidate "wins"

- USA could have situation, where no candidate has electoral majority - because some electors pledged to Biden (who withdrew but still appeared), some pledged to Dem (new candidate), some to President Trump.Dems would then urge their Biden electors to be faithless & switch to Dem (new candidate). To prevent, you know, that funky procedure where House decides.
Dems won't mind the hypocrisy involved.
