Here's what going on - or what I predict.
Like most DOJ reports, it'll be a 3/4 cover-up, a "modified limited hangout".
They will hang 1/4 out there - some "embarrassing" true details - so it looks like work - while they fail to expose other 3/4 of criminal details.
NY Post story would be, battlespace prep. Somebody leaked/planted story to NYP.
"Oh isn't embarrassing how Biden has egg on his face?" - when Biden ought to be indicted, on stuff omitted from DOJ report.
As VP, Biden had NO authority to take classified docs home, store them poorly so that Chinese agents could get at them, then take indirect bribes thru Hunter. None.

A bunch of the documents were taken when he was a Senator.
Of course, the DOJ/FBI won't do anything to the Biden crime family. To paraphrase Sam Harris; even if they found a basement full of dead babies and the Bidens feasting on them, the DOJ/FBI would protect them. If the video of the Bidens feasting on the dead babies leaked, liberals would still vote for him en masse.
