The problem is that the folks you guys support equate talking about homosexuality with talking about sex. For conservatives, being gay is ONLY about shoving dicks up asses. Most conservatives refuse to recognize that two men can love each other.

Telling children about non-heteronormative families is no different and can be done in the same manner as telling them about heteronormative families. When a teacher tells a student that Jack has a mommy and a daddy, she doesn't have to explain that daddy shoves his dick up mommy's pussy hole. Likewise, a teacher can explain that Jill has two mommies or two daddies, without telling the kids that one mommy shoves her fist up the other mommy's vag.

The way Florida and other states with "Don't Say Gay" bills would have it, it would not be allowed for the existence of LGBT persons to be acknowledged by the State until a child is an adult. Putting gay people in the same category as cigarettes or alcohol.

I refuse to accept that my existence is a secret that must be kept. The fact that you hate yourself so much that you go along with such efforts is truly sad to me.
