Issues with new OF video format

OF recently updated their video format and even after successfully downloading the video, VLC wouldn't play it - some kinda DRM? Screen record does not work too. Anyone figured out a way to convert/ download viewable vids? I'm using VideoDownloadHelper extension on Firefox. Thanks.

And strangely videos uploaded a few months earlier can be downloaded and the play back worked fine - just the recent uploads that are causing problems...

Seems like you downloaded a copyright protected content w/c requires [drm] license in order to view ...
This isn't allowed here and you can report the torrent causing issues ...you may try the ff codec : https://codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
or try another player : http://www.inmatrix.com/

@lyonking I think OF is giving individual creators the option of implementing DRM for their videos. Some are using it, some aren't. Like you, I'm using VideoDownloadHelper w/Firefox and it no longer works on some OF creator pages. One creator turned it off recently, temporarily, because of complaints by subscribers that they couldn't view the videos but then it was turned back on again. Oh well...
