Apparently, there's a book on the topic that this picture is part of that depicts what the French thought the year 2000 would be like.

@raphjd They nailed the self-centered, social isolation.
And the programming aspect - content being shoved into lazy people's brains.
But they probably thought it would be good content, important human knowledge or something. Wrong about that.
