DHT in torrent client... on or off?

As I recall, Gaytor.rent does not use DHT (I might be wrong about this).
I know that having DHT enabled can slow things down a lot, but does disabling it have any negative effect with this site? -
YOU MUST TURN OFF DHT WHEN YOU USE PRIVATE TRACKERS.
