YOU don't increase your reputation points - others do that. If you join in the forums, help out others, make witty posts or even :bsex: moderators, that can all make people add to your reputation. But don't worry there are no added benefits, apart from a warm feeling

Fixed. When you get over 100 and aren't promoted, please contact the Helpdesk, I'd like to understand if only the first promotion is blocked or further, too.

Some time ago I had understood that it is random glitch of the forum, but seen the number of members on which I stumble when reading the forums, it seems to be a general issue, at least for a first promotion.

Is there a normal amount of time that it takes for the forum system to kick a user up to the next level or is it all completely random

It's not time, it's the number of forum posts (see table above).

Occasionally the system has a hiccup and misses the upgrade. Popper then comes along and hits it with a black pudding :nutki:

LOL, no actually I just save the "Account Related Settings" of the forum profile of that member without any changes and by magic the member level is updated to what it should be.

Perhaps that works too if a member does it him/herself …

_**I'm glad I happened to search for this thread, eventhough the last post was in 2014, coz it answered my question on the Lurker thingy, because I was wondering why some members have still a lurker status (although it has a correct corresponding star(s) below their profile name) which have more number posts than I…..

And on the invites (another thread but I might as well post it here), I didn't know that you have to be invited in order to register here in this site, I guess it's my lucky day when I registered here last April that you have an open registration.....

Seems like it's still an issue, I'll keep commenting until I get past the 100 posts and after that I'll come back and say if my group has changed

I don't know the current situation, but prior to the new forum software, there was a fix for this that had to be applied individually.

The torrent site and the forum software had a "bridge" linking them that the site owner created. He's working on one for the new forum site and torrent site, but last I heard he's having some issues. Of course, this has taken a backseat to fixing the new domain, to replace the old own (.rent vs .ru).
