Are there any advantages to being a homosexual rather than a heterosexual?
-
heterosexual men have to work super hard to get sex with women and are constantly rejected
for the most parthomosexual men are able to find other men to have sex with with very little effort and are rarely rejected because the whole process is much more transparent from the beginning
for the most parttl;dr
gays have more and better sexAre you trying to stereotype the "female" gender that are not promiscuous?
Some girls are just as horny as guys. -
men are easier to hookup with + you don't have to worry about pregnancy
there are a lot of positives to being gay if you live in a tolerant democracy

easier to rise a child :cheesy2:

@herbert967 and rejection is a constant element of being gay for all the non-stereotypical men in the gay community, and rejection from straight men for gays is very common, just like for a lot of straight men with girls. We don't win this "kind and open-minded" challenge, not anymore I'm afraid since Grindr appeared to give a mask to all the assholes between us.
The only advantage in my opinion is philosophical, unless you're extra-masculine, muscular, urban, white and privileged with a western culture (I mean, capitalist). Then it can be a lot of fun for you, although your love life may be pretty scarce if you fancy one

@spam17 Yes when I came out after 34 years of marraige (my wife passed away, I was able to be who I really am, a man who is romantically attracted to men. I am 69years, so coming out has it's challenges. When I was young, there was very little support or understanding of the gay community. There really was not much of a community. The question of whether being gay was a choice, or an internal inevitability was not asked out loud. The majority of people when asked would answer it was a choice, and a perverted one at that. I now fully believe that I was born this way, and the more I open up to this, the happier I get. So yes,I believe for me there is an advantage being homosexual, because that if who I am. It's the real me, and I love being gay. I love acting gay. I'm not a obnoxious gay person, but I love sharing my gayness, if you will, with those I meet.

@ferreiro What?
-
I mean, what?
-
@ferreiro HI there! translation needed.

-
@Arago44 I actually responded to @ferreiro on a different thread regarding language translation, and noted the most popular Internet site:
Many of our Forum posters have native languages other than English. For those who want to discuss topics or just chat in their native language, our site provides the Language Boards Category:
https://community.gaytor.rent/category/164/language-boards
For all other boards (and threads like this one), commenting in English -- the site's default language -- allows everyone to participate in a common "format."
(And to advance this thread, being a homosexual is a great thing, because you know which skin moisturizers don't sting when you can't find the lube.)

@flozen Oh.

From a philosophical perspective, being a member of a minority opens our eyes more to the invisible issues of discrimination and bigotry when we otherwise may have been more blind and ignorant.
this in theory... i don't think the majority of gay people really cares about the problems in society.
-
@edudorado it's probably not the case anymore however if we have Pride and attained rights it's because a lot of us care or cared, otherwise we would all still hide in the closet. There's certainly the need for a discussion within the community today I believe, one may argue we shifted from oppressed to the oppressor's accomplice. We just look a lot like the rest of society by now, and that is not a good thing in my opinion
-
No there isn't, as far as societal benefits.
-
You don't end up with a fat wife, an ex-wife suing you for child support or a bunch of screaming kids. Unless you did it wrong.

I guess that works if you're a good person. But I'm shitty and self serving so I don't care about any of that.

As a bisexual man, I have lots of opinions on this. I currently have a long-term girlfriend, a great relationship, and fantastic sex. I've had boyfriends too, who I loved.
The biggest benefit in a homosexual relationship is good anal sex. My girlfriend pegs me sometimes. But pegging is nowhere near as good as getting plowed by another man. You miss the strength and power than a man has. We do use sex toys and she's amazing at milking my prostate. Penetrative anal sex with both men and women feels the same to me though.
On a social level, being in a heterosexual relationship is easier, more straightforward, and I've never had a girl cheat on me. Most gay men I've dated have usually been sleeping with many guys even several months into us being together. And my two long term gay boyfriends both wanted open relationships in the end, and that didn't work for me. I want to be with one partner, and I want that partner to want to be just with me.
My longest relationship (4 years), was with another bisexual man. In the end we broke up over the kids thing. Another thing that is obviously easier for a heterosexual relationship.
By the way - my girlfriend and I enjoy watching gay porn, and straight porn together! We're both fans of this site!
