Searching for Asian Interracial Film

I once saw a trailer some years ago with the general premise of a gay asian showing his mother his white boyfriend (I believe the boyfriend was American). The mother I believe was trying to break the two up and said to other people that he was straight.
For whatever reason, I cannot find the film. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it might be?

Not quite. The boyfriend was blonde and after seeing the trailer for Lovebirds, I have the feeling the movie I searching for was either Taiwanese or Chinese.
