I'm tingling, just thinking about this catch 22 liberals have created for themselves, I might just have to touch myself.
2 things can be true at the same time. I think her politics are shitty and selfish. I find her to be a detestable person in general mostly because of her kardashianism and elitism. But I will defend her right to exist and pee in the bathroom she identifies with. These are not hard concepts.

My point is that modern liberals have a "this or that" mentality when it comes to certain groups.
I'm a transphobe because I don't consider attention whore to be trans. Trans people want to just live their lives and be left alone.

The identity politics that liberals engage in is super frustrating, patronizing, and completely performative. Everyone wants to be "woke," and check a box. They substitute substance for optics all the time. One of the most frustrating things I have ever gone through is watching so many blue liberal check marks on twitter, and so many other black women (the KHive) praise and defend Kamala Harris, a woman who built her career jailing people of color, and empowering police abuses. Anyone who complains about police brutality but celebrates that that vile foul piece of shit is our vice president needs to shut the fuck up eternally.
But I would argue that conservatives are even WORSE on the trans issue. Conservatives engage in tokenism. When they want to criticize black people they go find a black person, when they want to criticize a woman they go find women, when they want to criticize immigrants they go find an immigrant willing to say disparaging things about their own groups. Which is another reason why I can't stand caitlyn, because she's the token trans person. Furthermore, liberals are not the ones who are obsessed with where Trans people pee. Liberals aren't the ones fearmongering about trans people and making them out to be predators.
All trans people want to be able to do is use the bathroom in peace and play sports in school with their friends. Why would anyone waste time and mental bandwidth creating legislation that bars them from doing that?

If you want to talk about "tokenism" you need to start with Biden.
We have the former mayor of a failed city, with a corrupt police department as our Sec of Transportation solely because he's gay.
That goes with virtually everyone else he's picked.
I can't believe that blacks voted for him with his record and Kamala's record.
Liberals are why only people from certain groups can criticize people from their group. If I and a black friend decide to go to lunch and we disagree about where to go, I'm a racist to liberals because I didn't bow down to my black friend. We can never, ever have honest discussions about race with liberals because they immediately scream "racist".

You are confusing conservatives and swampies.
Swampies (both sides) refuse to let any change happen. They fought against their home being drained.
Conservatives believe that blacks (and others) have agency, while Democrats believe they are the saviours of blacks and swampies want nothing to change.
Liberals, especially white liberals believe that blacks are too stupid, lazy or whatever to get ID. Most blacks have ID and know where to get a new one if they lose or need to renew theirs.

I lived in queens new york for a long time. never thought to get an id or license because I never needed one but had I gotten one I would've needed to pay $40 bucks to get one. Having to pay $40 (they only last 4 years) every 4 years just to vote is no different than a poll tax, which is unconstitutional. It puts an undue financial burden on someone just to vote.
furthermore voter fraud is not an issue. There's been like what 31 cases in the last 16 years or something like that? Rudy Giuliani when to court over 60 times and argued each time that this is not a voter fraud case, so even he knew there was no voter fraud.

Let's not forget that it was your beloved Democrats that passed DOMA, DADT and RFRA. This was all under Clinton. These are the 3 most homophobic laws the federal government ever passed.
RFRA is still the law of the land. It was authored by Chuckles Schumer and Honest Joe Biden was one of the co-sponsors.
Don't forget that we were always told to vote Democrat because they are the only ones that love us. Talk about an abusive relationship.
You might want to look at some of the racist shit Democrats have said in the last 50 years, as well. Starting with Biden is always a good place.

Those are super fair points. At the same time, if we are talking about present day and not 20 years ago, it is conservatives that are fighting against gay and trans rights like their lives depend on it. they are the ones that are using religious rights laws to discriminate against the lbgt community and they are the ones that tried to make gay conversion therapy for minors (torture) legal in all the red states, as well as their very loud vocal opposition to gay adoption. Michelle Bachman even ran for president on that message.

when you compare liberals to conservatives who are literally trying to bring back anti sodomy laws, where people would literally be jailed for having butt sex, I'd say dems are the only safe option for you guys. Both liberals and conservatives exhibit different kinds of racism. I don't need to look up anything Biden said because Biden has been racist for decades. Why do you think Obama picked him in 2008? Do you think Obama needed help with the black vote? No, Obama had that covered. He picked Biden in order to grab a few of the racist white vote.
I don't have a dog in that fight either. I'm not a Dem, I'm an independent and I didn't vote for Biden.

Dems have been promising us ENDA (or one of its 5 other names) since 1971 and still nothing.
RFRA is still the bigoted law of the land and the Dems have done nothing to reverse it.
Dems have given us nothing good, but they have given us homophobia.
