"Green New Deal" is a jobs plan

In a Senate hearing on 20 April 2021, a Biden official was questioned about the GND and how much it would do to reduce climate change, which is its stated purpose.
Sen John Kennedy repeatedly asked the guy (sorry never caught his name but you can find the video YT) who kept saying that it is not about climate change, but rather a jobs plan.
The GND has never been modeled to see how much, if any, effect it would have on climate change.
Once again, we were lied to by the Dems.

Even if the USA did not exist - the Climate would not be affected. The climate is only affected by major factors such as population growth, active volcanoes, China, India, Mexico and other major polluters.
