How to approach someone you like?

I need some advice. Let's say i see someone i like in a caffe, a library or whatever (so not in a club). How do i approach them? Any tips?

Usually eye-contact is the first sign. Then depending on the situation. For example in the supermarket you may ask thw other person sth about a product and so on

I've always used eye contact and a smile. And it's worked for me: if the guy is interested, he keeps his eyes; if not, he looks away and I do not insist further.
