Inviting third person or a couple into relationship

My partner and I have been together for more than 7 years. We are monogamous from beginning of our relationship. We entered relationship early in our "gay lives" and didn't have much experience before. Lately we were talking (more joking) about inviting third person or pair to have sex with. As I am vers, more bottom, and he is top we were "joking" about inviting another bottom or top. I must admit I'm scared inviting someone else into our relationship. I love my partner more than anything and I don't know how I would react seeing him fucking someone else. I bet he thinks same about me being fucked. But on other level, sex with him and other man/couple makes me horny and curiosity makes me wild.
