Legendary gay porn director William Higgins has died at 74 of a heart attack in Amsterdam on Dec 21.
Higgins is pretty much the father of modern gay porn. He invested all his money and life into making gay porn.
He came up with the concept of fit, young, surfer boy types as opposed to hairy, leather, grunge types.He also was innovative in raising the production values in films, and getting performers to trim the hair in their ass cracks.
They should declare William Higgins a saint and award him the Nobel Peace prize. -

Per the original post, to give Mr. Higgins his rightful due, I hope the media reports of the day made prominent mention of his tireless efforts to control ass-crack hair – which, ironically, I rather like when it's wild and free. :blownose:

I was really sad to hear that he had passed! WH studios in the early 2000s opened up a whole new world of the male form for me! Bel Ami has its sparkly and squeaky clean models, but WH had this grungier quality that had its niche in my heart….. I particularly like Max Orloff/Pavel Novotney/Jan Dvorak's performances on there, and Jirka Gregor was my favourite from that era (I have a thing for muscle bottoms...). Rest in peace, William Higgins!
