      Hmm, so they don't care about all black Africans with HIV/AIDS.

      However, the premise still stands.  They don't care about whites around the world with HIV/AIDS.

      They support black Africans, despite the way whites in Africa are being treated.

        How do you know they don't care about all black Africans with HIV?
        Maybe it's difficult or impossible to intervene in other countries due to political or safety reasons?
        Maybe they don't have enough people to handle more countries?

        As I've shown earlier, countries where the virus is most prevalent are in Africa so it makes sense that they want to start there, don't you think?
        Also, those countries are poor so it's logical to help them.

        Your premise does not stand, you're pulling things out of thin air and extrapolating.

        If you're so worried about HIV in white countries, here are some links: Europe and USA

            RED isn't Apple's either. Source
            You seemed so eager to help white people with HIV I thought I'd give you links so that you can donate and help!

            Non-black countries where Apple contributed/donated/raised awareness:
            2017: UK, Canada, USA, USA
            2016: Ecuador and Japan, Canada, China, USA, USA, USA
            For previous years and source: link

            By the way, contrary to what you said earlier Apple gives money to RED from each iPhone sold worldwide (that includes non-white countries!!). Source.

              Apple doesn't promote sales of their non-RED phones as going to charity.

              Me donating to a charity through Apple Pay, isn't quite the same as Apple donating to that charity.  Are you saying that every time I write a check and mail it to the charity that my bank and the post office are also donating to the charity?

              The same applies to Apple allowing donations through Itunes.

              The most you can say is that Apple created "storefronts" for some situations such as natural disaster relief and doled out the money collected to charities, such as the various national Red Cross charities.  For the rest, Apple only changed the rule banning donation buttons in apps.

              It's nice of Apple to donate $1 million to the area they live in after the forest fires.  You do get that $1 million for that forest fire was less than 0.1% of the total cost of the forest fire and that's quite generous on my part because the forest fire was well over $1 Billion.    That's probably more than they paid in taxes worldwide that year.

              Apple gave $1 million to the SPLC, which is a leftist group that falsely accuses people of being nazis.  They give to other leftist groups as well.

              If Apple paid it's fair share of taxes, they'd do more for society the tiny bits you are bragging about them doing.

                I can't believe you actually went there…

                @raphjd:

                Apple doesn't promote sales of their non-RED phones as going to charity.

                No what I mean is they sell their RED phones worldwide and part of the money goes to that charity. Therefore non-white people are also donating to RED.

                @raphjd:

                What are you on about here?
                By the way, Apple doesn't donate their own money to RED but a percentage of each sale. The same applies to most of the links I gave.

                @raphjd:

                So donating money to charities focused on African nations is racist but donating money to charities in the US doesn't disprove that claim  ???

                @raphjd:

                As for your tax avoidance rant: it's a digression from the topic and it's not illegal AFAIK (not that I'm ok with it).

                NEWS FLASH: Apple is a far-left/progressive company!! Such a revelation…

                @raphjd:

                If Apple paid it's fair share of taxes, they'd do more for society the tiny bits you are bragging about them doing.

                They're a for-profit business that has never made charity work their goal so it's up to them to give the amount of money they want.
                Contrary to what you said I'm not bragging about what they're doing, I couldn't care less about their charity work. I'm not even saying that they're not racist but just that you haven't shown evidence to back that claim up!

                Finally the interesting thing about this conversation is every time I reply I use links or screenshots to prove my point but you don't. You extrapolate stuff from who knows where and claim what you say to be true.
                It would be refreshing if you could provide evidence not just gut feelings or reading too much into things to prove your claims of racism and illegal activity (defraud).

                  RED might be sold worldwide, but it's the west that is their main consumer.

                  Your links were about Apple doing charity collections through their App Store and Itunes.  It wasn't about them donating to the charity.  That is why I mentioned the bank and the post office.  Apple only collects the money that others have donated.    I wonder if they keep 30% like they do with everything else.

                  AGAIN, Apple isn't donating to the other charities.  They are only facilitating the ability for others to donate through Apple Pay, the App Store, and Itunes.

                  Sandra Bullock gave the same amount to the forest fire fund as Apple.    Other celebs have also given as much or more.

                  Apple gave the SPLC and other leftist groups more money than they have to other things in the west.  Most of their money goes to Haiti after a hurricane.

                      I do NOT  dispute that 1 charity (forest fire).  I said as much in the next sentence, where I said that Sandra Bullock gave the same amount.  It's a pathetic amount considering how wealthy the company is.  Apple gave the same (once) as they give SPLC annually.

                      I dispute the rest though unless we're talking about Haiti.

                        So it boils down to you being mad because Apple doesn't give money to the charities you like or the amount of money you want them to.
                        Apple has never stated that they'd give X% of the benefits each year to charities.
                        Also, let me remind you that Apple is a for-profit company and if you think they're donating out of pure benevolence, you need to learn a few things about PR and business.

                        So unless it's illegal, I don't understand your complaint and still don't see the racism in all of it.
                        You still haven't shown EVIDENCE of racism, just crazy conjectures and very common misleading* marketing tactics!

                        misleading: not precise enough but not a lie.

                          Ok, let's try this again.

                          Excluding the one-off donation for the forest fire in their area, they only give to leftist hate groups like SPLC.    Sandra Bullock (one of many celebs) gives more to actual charities than Apple.

                          They do give for hurricane relief, but they give to Haiti, not the US and other western countries.

                          They are completely dishonest about RED and bury the truth in the small print.  This is their biggest charity and they don't even give to it.  All the money comes from sales of RED products.

                          The PR is in the truth about the company.

                            Duh!! Of course they are.
                            FYI, the SPLC has called non-white people hateful or bigoted (or any other buzz words they like) such as Maajid Nawaz, Ben Carson or Ayaan Hirsi Ali (she's a heroine in my opinion!)

                            This is my favourite sentence, I love it! You sound so much like a social justice warrior/far-leftist!
                            If we follow your logic that means that if you don't have a friend of each and every single ethnicity that means you're racist. If you don't date people of a certain race you're racist against that group of people.
                            Because we all know that everyone is entitled to love, just like every country is entitled to Apple's "benevolence".  :funny2:

                            Your premise is faulty and your conclusions misguided, to put it gently.

                                You said that Apple was donating to the west, even though it wasn't.  All they did was change their rules and start allowing donations through Apple Pay, Itunes and the App Store.

                                Other than giving to SPLC and other leftist groups, they gave $1 million to the local forest fire.

                                Other than that, they give to Haiti and Africa.

                                  As you scroll down the Apple Product RED page, it's a bit odd that they only tell the truth at the very bottom.

                                  All through the page, they promote it in a neutral non-specific way.

                                  Why are they doing this?

                                  Why not be honest from the very beginning of the page, in the first bit?

                                  ++++

                                  BTW, I know that SPLC has targetted non-whites with their BS.

                                  The point I was making is that most of their "donations" in the west are to leftist groups, with only a tiny portion actual humanitarian issues.

                                    No, your point is that they're racist and you use their preference as "evidence".

                                    Do you really think that every single country is entitled to Apple's money? Because in that case, it'd be logical to call Apple racist. But now you have another problem: your premise is faulty.
                                    And I think we finally got to the core of this whole thread: You think there should be equality (of outcome) in donations.

                                      Are you saying that unless I blindly donate, then I'm being bad?!    I never, ever donate unless I know where the money goes.    I don't want my money going to groups/causes that work against me.

                                      Their "preference" is to take money from whites and not doing anything to help whites, except that one time they were being self-serving when they donated that pittance to the forest fire in their area.

                                      Odd that you bring up "equality of outcome" while we're talking about a leftist company like Apple.  You'd think it would be their mantra.  Then again, leftists hate whites as we constantly see.

                                      Would you be still as "they're not racist" if Apple only gave to whites?

                                        Why are they doing this?

                                        Well… they hate white people!

                                          Well, they like whites enough to take our money, but that's about it.

                                            They like people who have money and can fund their business. Period.
