        There are so many.  What are your tastes?
        Here are some representative books with Gay Male protagonists that I've read.

        Science Fantasy:  Marion Zimmer Bradley's Heritage of Hastur is a good start.
        High Fantasy:  Mercedes Lackey The Last Herald Mage Trilogy
        Urban Fantasy:  Tanya Huff Smoke Series
        Superheroes:  Perry Moore Hero
        Horror/Mystery:  Jordan Hawk Widdershins

        And here's a starting list of over 700 books on Goodreads.

          Mortal Instruments does… but I'm not a huge fan of that series. The books are rather cheesy, and the television adaptation (Shadowhunters) can be rather cheesy. Good for eye-candy, though.

            There's tons of gay male relationship fantasy through Dreamspinner Press.

                  I'll have to reread His Dark Materials.

                  The Nightrunner series by Lynn Flewelling is a fairly standard LGBT fantasy recommendation. The two main male characters are in a relationship.

                    I strongly recommend "The Lightning Struck Heart" by TJ Klune.

                      @Shami94:

                      I strongly recommend "The Lightning Struck Heart" by TJ Klune.

                      I 100% second that, The Lightning Struck Heart is a great read (and all of the other books in the series)

                      Some others I'm fond of:
                      The Thresl Chronicles
                      The Last Herald Mage series (HIGHLY recommend, especially if you enjoy magic/medieval fantasy)
                      A Guitarist in the Fae Queen's Court was short but interesting
