        It all depends on where you live.
        Most countries sell homogenized and pasteurized milk.
        Homogenization is to make the milk consistent each time you go and buy some. Pasteurization is done to kill all microbial life in the milk.
        But both are not natural and actually make milk very bad for you. To be honest, its not even milk after they do all that to it.
        Homogenization breaks down the fat molecules into very tiny molecules with unnatural properties. The human body really doesn't know what to do with it, so most of it gets tossed out with the trash but much of the fat content gets turned into fat stores for the body and then turned into glucose when needed. But because the fat molecules are so odd, the body really does have a hard time using it.
        Pasteurization kills everything in the milk. But one of the greatest benefits of milk is the bacteria ( Good bacteria). Real milk has all the bacteria the body needs to be able to handle milk. When that was removed, that's when people started getting allergies to milk. The milk still had lactose but lacked the lactose bacteria to digest it properly.
        So, to answer your question. If you can get real raw milk either from a cow or goat? Then its great for the human body. But if all you can get is store bought sugar filled poison, stay away. Nut milk is better. Almond or soy. But Testes does it for me. :cool2:

        PS: Don't beleive all the bullshit about tuberculosis and disease from raw milk. As long as you are getting nice milk from healthy cows being grass feed, its good to go.
        Once you actually get the real deal straight from a cow. The stuff in the stores will taste like watered down paint.
        Real milk is creamy, thick and full of vitamins and minerals that are easily digestible.

          The Guardian is one of my go-to sources for news, so I would offer their report on adult consumption of milk:

            I am not sure, but many adults are lactose intolerant.

              Milk has high amounts of calcium, which is important for bone density. Go for low-fat or skim, however.

                Some philosophy about nutrition that makes sense.
                Eat Food but not too much.  Mainly leaves.
                If your grandparents wouldn't eat it you probably shouldn't.

                I'm Middle-Eastern descent - lots of vegetables, some dairy, little meat.

                    I'm vegan, as a kid I never really enjoyed milk. Today we have so many other supplements that can provide a healthy supply of calcium for us….......other than regular cow's milk.

                    You don't need milk.  It's really just a pure decision of pleasure.

                      Strange that I'm one of those few who never get "Crossed Over" in drinking milk. I still drink cold milk every time I'm home from the office, before having dinner. Although milk for adult are available, I still drink fresh milk.

                      There's always the calcium pills.

                            @Oscarbingham:

                            I wouldnt drink the saliva or the Blood of Any cow, just like I wouldnt drink the milk out of a Cat or a dog. For ethical reasons, only vegetable  milks here please!

                            Each almond that makes up your almond milk requires 5 liters of water to produce it.

                            ++++

                            As for drinking cow's milk, it's very good for you, especially if you are white.    Non-whites tend to be lactose intolerant, while whites evolved to be able to drink milk to help us with Vitamin D and Calcium.

                            If you live in the north or south part of the globe and are white, then drinking milk is beneficial for you especially in the winter when the sun is farther away from you.
