How to earn Seed Bonus Points

What is first time uploader program. 600 SPB !

Really the title says most of it. When you upload your very first torrent to the site you can claim 600 seed bonus points.
There used to be a banner on the main Search page but you can read about it HERE
Although I hope the disappearing banner doesn't mean you can't claim points anymore

Just a list on the ways members can earn Seed Bonus Points
1. First Time Uploader Program. 600 SBP for a first time uploader
2. Vote on categories. 2 SBP per torrent that you place you category vote on one you have uploaded or completely download the torrent
3. Seed torrents. .5 SBP per hour when you seed.
4. Start forum thread. 5 SBP
5. Reply to a forum thread 1 SBP
6. Gift from other members on torrent you have uploaded.
7. Add photos to a torrents detail page 1 SBP per approved photo
8. Report a duplicate torrent 50 SBPI have recieved my 600 seed points for my first upload… :cry2: How do I claim it?

tdhguy, if you have got your 600 points already it seems you have 'spent' them in the Bonus Point section.
If you are still waiting, when they arrive you can click on Bonus button at the top of your page and you can see what you can swap them for.
If you haven't actually claimed your points from junior yet, see the banner on the Search page

only count for the duration of someone downloading from you, or is it for every hour you are "available"?

Every hour you are connected and available for seeding.

Is this a valid way of earning seed bonus? Does it take a while to get the bonus after voting?

Are you suppose to thank a person who is generous on one of your uploads? I'm not sure what the proper netiquette is with that.
