Fancy Vacations in Homophobic locations?

As Christmas and holidays are approaching , does anyone favor a spot more than others. Like Prague in old USSR is a gay vacation spot. But outside the area would kill you. Does that make you think about where you'll spend vacation ?

I've thought about that before for traveling in general. It's coaxed me out of joining the peace corps, since it's dangerous to visit a vast majority of their destinations if you're gay. I also haven't taken up traveling to most places in South America because of it. I really just have my eyes set on vacationing in North America and west Europe.
