Should a porn actor be made to fill their contract?

I just looked at your profile. You wrote that your fifty. Fifty? I find that really hard to believe. Gay men usually lie about their age in the other direction, so if you're petty enough to post this would you be petty enough to post that you're older than you actually are (as if it proves something)? Or could it really be that you're fifty and don't know how to play nicely with others?

I never imagined this would actually be a thing. I was thinking of the topic as an abstraction and curious if people would make exceptions for men vs women or nude scenes in mainstream cinema vs porn.
I bought this up over dinner/drinks last night and, the Dothraki-esque, "it is known" that female porn actresses are made to sign a contract and when they try to break the contract they are threatened with being sued. This was the first time that anyone had heard of someone actually getting sued. Everyone that she was really brave and this should be more common. When I asked about men no one could imagine a man wanting/needing to get out of such a contract because they can just blur the face out or they aren't important or it's not really a bad thing for a guy (compared to a girl).
A few drinks later and we were discussing who would ever do it and what kind of film…
Personally, I think there should be a mandatory clause allowing a person to review whether or not they continue a contract after one year in porn. I think there are too many cultural repercussions a porn actor/actress an actor might not be prepared for to make a longer contract but once a contract is made it should be followed for that one year. (Kinda like a tattoo you have to be willing to accept buyers remorse.)

They willingly and knowingly signed the contract.
From what I've read about the porn industry, they don't really have any long term contracts, except "exclusive" ones meaning they can't work for another company while the contract term is valid.
Bel Ami, for example, doesn't offer long term contracts until they have used the guy in a few videos. Part of it is in case they decide they don't want to do porn anymore, but also for the obvious business reasons.

In some cases, that could be a big deal..
For instance, performers such as Zeb Atlas, Jeff Stryker, and Rex Chandler have been offered megabucks to take it up the ass on camera. (Zeb eventually did, Jeff did a dildo and maybe more, Rex did not but sure negotiated it a lot. I think his price was $250,000). If some studio is paying out big bucks to promote a performer, they don't want that performer going and working for someone else or even themselves after being built up by someone else. -

That is technically correct.. but there are major exceptions. If it turns out the contract contains any stipulations that are not legal, then the entire contract is void. For instance, there is a 24/7 streaming live webcam site similar to the "Big Brother" TV show. The guys that live there are required to sign a contract that they will stay there for 6 months. If they leave early, they have to pay $500. If they don't leave on time, they are charged $50 per day. However.. the contract is not legal even though it was drawn up by a lawyer. Therefore it is unenforceable.
Another example: if someone signed a contract that stipulated they would sell someone their heart for $1 million. That contract would also be void.
In any contract involving porn, just try and enforce it. A judge would throw it out of court. That includes copyright issues.
