      @brianboru72:

There were people disappointed that it was too different from the comic books it was supposed to be based on– but I really found the show charming and entertaining. Lucifer over Amenadiel any day.

Yeah, the source material is great and the TV show could have been something incredible, but they turned it into a simple 'police procedural' thing with angels… I like it and think it's funny and all that (thanks to Tom Ellis) but its a shame, really...

I'm still hoping that a proper adaptation of the comic series will happen someday- maybe done by Netflix. For now, I enjoy the series for what it is- a fun, sexy police procedural with supernatural elements thrown in.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short.
But shout it at them in German, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

I was one of them -  you could tell they were hoping "the formula" would guarantee them a multiple-season run.

He was much hotter in Lucifer than in Miranda.
I am looking forward to Tom Welling joining the cast in Season 3!

                I have mixed feelings.

My big problem, pardon the pun, Why the HELL isn't Lucifer bisexual?

He is. We've seen him ONCE with a man. He's talked about it before.

My guess is that the network is already taking a chance with the devil as a good guy. Alternatively, gay/bi people might be offended if they equate gay sex as being of the devil.

Personally, I've grown to like the show.

I'm going to be disappointed with the series if Lucy doesn't finally tell Chloe the truth. The joke of her not knowing has gone on long enough.

So, I just finished watching episode one of season three.

I really enjoyed this episode and the characters seem to have jelled.  Lucifer does not seem as silly as the way they originally depicted him - they've brought out more of his anger and resentment as oposed to petulence.  Chloe is taking Lucifer in stride rather than spending so much of her screen time being outraged/intrigued in him.  Both Amanadiel and Dr. Martin are more grounded, they're dealing with their own shit and wlling/able to call out Lucifer when he's being narcisstic.

The magic pixie chick in forensics was a lot less grating than she had been.  Tom Welling is a solid addition to the cast.  Tricia Helfer, whom I love, is hopefully doing something better somewhere else.  The annoying little girl was nowhere to be seen.

The character/actor I find really hot is Dan Espinoza (Kevin Alejandro).  He's a secondary character that has also improved from being defined by his poor choices to someone who is dealing with the consequences of some of his choices but trying to move on.  It's nice to see him have 'appropriate' conversations with Chloe.  Obviously, Lucifer has never learned how to have an appropriate conversation in his life.

I dropped out halfway through season 2 but I'm finding the beginning of this season promising.

As others have expressed, it is not a loyal adaptation from the comic series, but it is entertaining nonetheless. (Still hoping they address some events regarding Hell in the Sandman though)

Tom Ellis is quite handsome, love the accent.  As a character, Lucifer is hilarious - and deserves a spanking sometimes -

It was fun at first, but now I'm watching season 3 and I just realized that it's just more of the same..

I like this show, but it's pretty repetitive. It's the perfect time waster.  :cheesy2:

Tom Ellis is one of the sexiest men on television, and the show, Lucifer, is fine.   >:D

But my tastes in drama require more cathartic action, including violence and sex.  😊   So, I tend to watch shows more in the vein of True Blood (pun intended), American Gods, Hannibal, Westworld, etc…
