Post the last movie you've seen and how you rate it

I was incredibly bored, so I decided to try to clear out a few movies from my Netflix queue. I watched The Veil(2016), a horror movie that seemed smart. It wasn't. I kept wanting to turn it off, but I thought it would get better. After all, it had a tiny bit of star power (Lily Rabe, Thomas Jane, and Jessica Alba), so it couldn't be THAT bad, could it??? So I forced myself to overcome my miniscule attention span and watch it to the very end.
Fuck, I wasn't I hadn't.
By the end of the film, I began to massively reconsider how I make use of time. It was a total life moment. Then I started going through all the movies on my queue, reading descriptions and watching trailers, just to weed out some of the more obvious shit. Then, in spite of my desperate need to work on my attention span, I instituted a policy of ALWAYS pausing the film after fifteen minutes in order to determine if I should continue.

To be honest, I'm not really into car or car chasing movies, but I like the idea surrounded by this Baby driver. I like the story, almost original. And I was curious also about some big Oscar winner in the movie, Jamie Foxx and Kevin Spacey, they good with exceptional acting Kevin Spacey always do.
Its entertaining. The one that I don't like is the Buddy character at the last quarter of the movie. He was suddenly managed to escape and confront the Baby.
7/10

Something like the following?

final time being nice -
I just saw Kingsmen 2: The Golden Circle. I don't think a simple rating will do it justice.
Violence: lots of violence which is very graphic. A bit of a turn-off.
Acting: Taran Egerton, Halle Berry, and Tatum Channing were charming and interesting in their roles. Julianne Moore was excellent. Sir Elton John was stunning playing himself. Edward Holcroft is going to be an actor to watch. Colin Firth and Jeff Bridges were too restrained.
Plot: The subplots were more interesting then the main plot. A lot of things just did not make sense in the movie.Overall: The fight scenes were wonderfully choreographed but there were a few too many and most of them went on a bit too long.
Final call: They are planning one more sequel to end the Kingsmen series. They are thinking of making a Statesmen series. I would watch them.

I saw some movies during the weekend.
1. War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) 8/10
This franchise always gave a drama-thrill to me. I love it since the first, Rise, Dawn and now War. The drama between the Apes and the human, in some points, made me rethink about BEING human. Caesar always good, I love the character playing with out emotions. A perfect end.//2. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) 8/10 6/10
I don't know if its just me but I was a sleep during this movie. Its just too long in my opinion with no actual achievement with his battle against the Vulture. The Marvel is smart though, put an a very early age of Spider-Man so it could be many many many sequels. -
7/10
Another 7. I enjoyed it.
PS. If you haven’t caught up yet, I’m incapable of doing a proper review.

Passengers 8/10
No so bad as I thought. Someone tell me that it was really bad so i had no expectations at the movie.

Blade Runner 2049: 10/10
My god what a MOVIE!

I'm quite excited for this movie. Haven't seen the 1982(?) one, so I have to watch that first (just to cement the film's world, :)).

Finally watched this and I can understand your personal opinion on this film, I quite agree with you on the acting department, they are all good and as you stated, Colin and Jeff's acting were too restraint.
Fight scenes were choreographed well(again as you stated) but I don't think it's too long, this is an action film foremost so longer fight scenes are to be expected.
Overall, Part 1 is better (my personal opinion of course) but this film is good and also loved it
I'm with you that if they made part 3, I would gladly watch them. 7.5/10

I saw few movies during the weekend
1. Bridegroom (2013) 8/10
Its been awhile since a gay movie made me cry and it happen rarely. This movie did, like almost cry my ass out. Its just so sad and tragic and it really happened in the real life. To be honest I'm not really a fan of documentary movie, any documentary. But, when I search for gay themed movie, I came cross with with movie and I saw the IMDb rating is really high, like full 8. So, I was curious and download the movie and give it a try.Overall, the movie is in the general standard. The movie tells Shane's, his family, his friends and Tom's friends side of the tragic death of Tom. Flashback with photos, videos they had about 6 years of their relationship. Its all about the story, its stand out and give you more positive side of love.
Now, for those who have not yet saw the movie, I dare you, and if you don't cry, I'll give you a big bucks of SBP >:D
2. Howl's Moving Castle (2004) 8/10
There are so much morality lessons fro this movie. It made about 13 years ago and compare to technology and animation these days, this movie still stand out and awesome. Just go for yourself!

The Mummy (2017)
I give it 6/10.
The good: Naked Tom Cruise (Oh daddy!)
The bad: Too much Tom Cruise
Before watching the flick keep in mind that they're trying to reboot their classic monster mythos (with a dash of Justice League) so don't expect a re-imagining of the beloved The Mummy franchise with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz. Sure it borrows some aspects, but quite liberally.
The action is fast paced and the scenes are crazy rad but sometimes I felt like I was watching Mission:Impossible, maybe there's too much action or it is not the kind of action you would have expected in the old Mummy movies.
And indeed, too much Tom Cruise…way too much Tom Cruise and not the naked one, sorry fellas. Sometimes I felt the movie time focused too much on Tom Cruise, his character talking and whatever...meanwhile other characters and the antagonist herself lacked exposition and development.

Signs you've gotten old: When he says re-imaging of the beloved The Mummy franchise and references the Brendan Fraser version. :blownose: :cry2: :blownose:
