Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

"A young woman abandons a choice job at a law firm and her life in New York in an attempt to find happiness in the unlikely locale of West Covina, California."
I really tried to like this show as I had heard good reviews but after 4 episodes, I was out. Anyone agree?

I watch it regularly and love it. The show's darkly funny, the acting's great, and it's that odd combination of funny/sad that I like.

The trailer for the new season is promising: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4esGOLFfds
What I love about this show is its feminist subversions of the rom-com genre and its nuanced exploration of mental illnesses. Darryl is also one of the few bi characters in television who isn't portrayed as either a tragic angst-machine or a horny harlot. That alone makes the show worth watching for people who want an unorthodox show which uses cliches to subvert cliches. It's super meta.
