      @raphjd:

Liberals will use any apologetics to justify CNN's vile actions.

Doxxing is never a good thing, even when a liberal does it.

I guess it's only good when the president wants to do it to the entire American electorate.

You can't dox "the entire American electorate".  I cannot believe you are even going to try to defend CNN here.

For all the talk about keeping Politics and Debate on topic and cleaning up, were you guys seriously going to ignore the biggest current political news story?

For all your criticisms of mhorndisk recently, at least he hasn't completely pulled the blinders over his eyes.

Please come the fuck on…. Just unbelievable to defend CNN here.  This is bar none the most egregious journalistic ethics violation of the entire Trump era to date, and that's saying something.

I'm the scape-goat. They cry about wanting a debate, but avoid the actual subject in most cases. They say, "he responds to himself." "he makes too many posts." "He said the NWO can suck a dick," and, "Obama's a Satanic Whore." They don't dare actually discuss the content, like Hillary's emails. They just blame Russia, rather than the content of the emails. We're used to it. That's life. This isn't something I just make up to troll. I believe that Obama worships the devil. Just look at him. He bombed 7 nations. And they want to give him a second Nobel Peace Prize. There's something seriously wrong and sick about the whole picture. I express my beliefs. If they don't like it, let them go to Berkeley and hide in the bathroom for the rest of their lives.

Now are you seeing how many times you can bring up Hillary's emails in different threads?  The issue has been litigated ad nauseam and yes, she lost the election.  Trump won.  Even he has dropped the subject.  Why can't you?

The only reason you don't like it is because you were finally forced to admit you were wrong, and Trump was right. He was right, but you just can't give him that, because you are full of nothing but hate for the guy. It doesn't matter if he was right. You are just going to hate him regardless. If he cured cancer, you'd still hate him.

What was he right about? That he would win the election?  Yes I admit he was right about that.  That Hillary is a criminal?  No I won't admit that.  Everyone in this country is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Not in the court of public opinion.  And the FBI did not even recommend an indictment.  So why don't you admit that you were wrong?

She admitted that she deleted 30,000 emails after a subpoena, after an investigation was launched. Is that really not obstruction of justice to you? Come on. Where's your head at man?

We are a nation of laws.  I know that does not jive with your anarchistic tendencies.  Every one is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  She was not charged.  You are entitled to your opinion based on what you have heard.  But your opinion and my opinion do not matter.  In the eyes of the law and of our criminal justice system she is innocent.  Accept that and move on.  It does not impact on any of the issues we are facing today.  It mattered in the election and she lost.  Game over.

The UK has a list of registered voters and my name is on it.    I've had no problems due to that.

Why the absolute terror over having your name, along with 100 million others, know as a registered voter?!

The only people with something to fear are the ones who are doing it illegally.    In another thread, we talked about 2 cases in Texas involving both main parties.

They have requested, names, addresses, partial SSN, party affiliation and voting history. If it were just names, I don't think there would be pushback.  And the assumption that those who seek to protect the privacy of their citizens have something to hide is sinister.

Unless the states are doing something illegal, then they have no idea who you voted for.

Australia has mandatory voting and your voting record (not who you voted for) is shared within the government because you are denied benefits and can be sent to jail for not voting.

I don't care if anyone knows I normally vote Democrat.

Liberals love that CNN is threatening to dox a person over a meme, but hate the idea of illegal voters being faux doxed.

I never meant to imply that voting history meant who you voted for.  It just means what elections you did cast votes.  How does that history relate to vote fraud beyond the information if the person in question ever voted.  Actually, I don't that voter suppression, even the suppression of illegal voting is the prime motivator in seeking this information.  They are looking to use it politically, and develop a huge database of party affiliation, who are the most motivated voters, who votes in primary elections, etc.  This will put them on firm footing going into 2020 to direct their campaigns ans spend their advertising dollars efficiently..  I have a strange feeling that they will not share the raw data with the Democrats.  It is just conjecture on my part, but even if it is partially true, it would mean the federal government is being used to further the cause of one political party.

You want to bring up the cops and BLM?  I think not.  Yes, people are held pending trial when they cannot make bail or represent a safety of flight risk.  But, according to the Constitution, the trial must be sppedy and fair.  One can always file a writ of Habeus Corpus

One of the cases of illegal voting in Texas came about through a random check of voting records.    An ex wife had her son vote as the dad, because she didn't want to waste his vote.  The son was 17yo.  Anyway, turns out the dad does vote.    So voter records caught an illegal vote.

Same thing with the illegal woman who voted, also in Texas.  She got caught through the same random voter record check.  The same woman voted in several places.  Turns out the real woman was a victim of identity fraud and illegal women were using her name/identity.

Let's flip this and say it was Obama or Hillary who wanted to do it.  I'm sure you'd support it and claim that everyone who disagreed was a conspiracy theorist.

Also, like with the EPA, there are plenty of regulations and laws surrounding voter's rights and records, so nothing bad will happen.    :blind:

Your examples are notable for the singular case in each.  The concept that these types of violations will add up to millions of votes has been challenges by almost every Secretary of State and those that study the problem.  And again, you are making that "show on the other foor" assumption.  I would object if Hillary, Obama, Bernie or the Pope asked for this information.  There already is far too much personal information stored centrally.  This will only confound the problem. It will also make Russian mischief easier.
