Edgar Maddison Welch, "Pizzagate" Gunman, Gets 4 Years

Hopefully, this will be a lesson to those out there who believe conspiracy theories without doing research to learn facts. If you try to cause harm to people because of what you "believe" is the truth after someone tweeted or stated something on a blog, you go to prison. This case is a prime example of how dangerous fake news stories were in 2016 and why it's time to put an end to it now before more situations like this one happen. The people in that restaurant should not have been put in danger over a bogus conspiracy theory. You have the right to believe what you want to believe, but you do not have the right to enter a restaurant and shoot at innocent people.

I completely agree on the main point.
I haven't looked into "pizza-gate" but it seemed fake to me. But that's not the point. No one has the right to do what the gunman did.
