Catchy melody or unforgettable vocal abilities？

I consider a good hook or melody more important. Vocal prowess means very little to me. People with a lot of range only interest me if they choose to use it in an exciting or unusual way, or employ a diverse set of vocal techniques.

i agree, just sometimes it pisses me off when a talentless singer does a nice song
and by vocal abilities, i m not taking abt those who have big a voice like a machine, but zero recognition
