Yeah, because you use bullshit logic to justify your claim.    "Liberals didn't do it, liberal individuals did it".

      Yeah, whatever.

        @Drwas:

        NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

After more than a week of protests and arrests, city workers put up a fence Wednesday around the Jefferson Davis monument in Mid City.

The contractor, who was paid $300 to drop the fence off, said he had no idea he was dropping off fencing to be erected around the monument. And he said since his workers dropped off the fencing, he has gotten death threats and his home address has been published online.

The contractor said someone called his company asking him to pick up fencing on the westbank and drop it off at Canal and S. Jefferson Davis Parkway.

He said after the job was completed, his company's phone line was flooded with calls and threats from people across the country.

"Specifically, they said they were going to burn me, they were going to burn my trucks, they were going to come to my yard and protest, they're not gonna let my trucks leave the yard, they going to protest all day long,  and one woman from Mississippi specifically said she's going to make sure that I'm going to get burned and my truck is going to get burned. That's how bad it is," the contractor said.

        Ah, the tolerant right!

Excuse me?  Who is being intolerant?  Jefferson is a major historical figure in Louisiana.  He was president of the Confederacy, he lived and died in Louisiana, and owned a plantation in Louisiana.. and yet.. the left must erase Jefferson Davis from history by removing his monument?  You know who else did shit like that?  Josef Stalin.  Stalin was famous for removing all monuments, documents, and images of his adversaries.  Tell me who is being intolerant again?  You libtards are so full of it, it is coming out your ears.  :true:

Please remember that J. Davis was the president of a faction of treasonous rebels who were on the losing side of a horrific :afraid2: civil war. IMO, honoring him with a monument/statue in NOLA is just a reminder of the bigotry and racism with which he stood for.

Move his statue to his home town or whatever. Get it out of my Big Easy :police:

            ANNiHILATION TO TRAITORS👍🏿☠️⚔️💣

American "heroes" were treasonous as well.  Let's take down every picture and statue of them.

There are a lot of uncomfortable parts of history. But sanitizing history and erasing it, will only make us doomed to repeat the same mistake. The people taking down this statue will only create that which they are attempting to remove. Ironic actually.

Clearly, there are some idiots here who think it's only treason if you lose.

George Washington, et al committed treason against the UK.

Jefferson Davis, et al committed treason against the US.

One is a hero and the other is a traitor.

Using this logic, 45% of voters in Scotland should be in prison for treason for voting for independence in 2014.

The thing about monuments is they tell us about our history.  You don't know we're you're going if you don't know where you've been.  Even the most offensive monuments tell us both about the time they commemorate and the time they were built.  If times have changed, the answer is to tear down, but to build new monuments.

To the victors goes the spoils. Sharing an opinion about Davis's treasonous behavior has nothing to do with the treasonous acts of Ben Franklin, Washington, Thomas Jefferson, etc.,  against the King. It's well known if the American revolution had failed all the above mentioned gentlemen would have been hung for treason.
