Greatest LGBT character on TV

There are a lot of good ones here on the list, I'd just like to add Ian Gallagher from Shameless to the list.

-
Billy Crystal (Jodie Dallas) on Soap, an ABC sitcom that ran from 1977-1981. Without a doubt, he should be #1 on that list–sharing that top spot, at the very least!
I personally wasn’t into the show but I know others who loved it.
A controversial show when it first aired–given the time--his character definitely behind much of it!

I know this won't be a very popular opinion, but if you ask me, Kurt Hummel from Glee.
I went through almost the same things as him on the show, and I really related to his struggles and hardships, and that made me really like his character.
His 'Unapologetically Me' attitude really gave me something to strive towards!

Mr. Humphries from ARE YOU BEING SERVED? (played by John Inman). I know most of you here are too young & hip to ever have heard of it or seen it, but…......
