It's another martial art, so I can understand why people would have a non-sexual interest in it. Imo, it's the best of two worlds (martial arts and homoerotic).

My dad loved wrestling, but never American wrestling which he considered entertainment of the worst type. He grew up in rural Pakistan, where (dust) wrestling was about the only sport the young men competed in. I dont think the erotic elements ever crossed his mind. His favorites were Indian/Pakistani, Turkish, and British style wrestling.
