Oprah running for president

I think the reason why people throw these statements out there is just to see how people react. I think the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Democrats will now have to approach her and try to make this happen.
That jack ass Curt Schilling also throws his name out there about running for Senate every once in a while. He gets the support of the red caps but in reality they likely aren't going to actually go out and vote.

Oprah is not a racist, that is ridiculous and is clearly an irrational claim. However, she does have a cult following and it's creepy. Everything she does has group-think written all over it and that's a quicker route towards fascism than anything #45 could ever do. I'm glad she's actually not running and I hope she continues to hold that position because she'd only help Agent Orange get a second term, and we don't need that. Democrats can win if they stay on the facts, and right now the number one fact is Republicans are going to take away health coverage for millions of Americans if they repeal ACA.

I don't think Trump has a chance against Oprah. Oprah can get women to vote for her. Hillary couldn't. Oprah can also get pretty much every minority group.

She would never get my vote nor would she get the vote of anyone I know. Her episodes became so redundant over time, and it got to the point where the only times I watched her show was to see a musician I listened to or to see an interview with an author I liked at the time. Most of her episodes were so one-sided, too. I agreed with her on a few episodes where she'd show white supremacists foam at the mouth, but she never got to the point of why those hillbillies were often like that in the first place. Their hatred didn't just pop up out of nowhere, it was taught to them from childhood to adulthood and passed on so they could never relate to lower class people of color; therefore, keeping a real uprising from happening to disrupt the classism in our society. She never really went deep into that; which led me to believe it was all just for ratings which is sad. And she seemed anti-man to me because there was always this unsaid "men caused every single problem in history" aura around her and that was followed up with a "only women can be compassionate enough to fix problems" mentality. I'm not the only gay black man who feels this way. Why do you think she rarely had gay black men on her show or why no gay black men really hang around her? I'd actively campaign against Oprah if she were a candidate.

I'm not black and I'd vote for her in a heartbeat if she ran as would many of my friends. Only jealous haters, people trying to have the edgy/contrarian opinion, or hyper-Republicans bitter that she leans left dislike Oprah and even though huge chunks of America are petty like that (re: Trump's victory), that's still not the majority of the country.

I can't stand Trump, but Oprah is way too emotional and self centered as well. I can't believe people can't see through her ego trip veiled as altruism. Sure, she does a lot of good, but she is NOT presidential material and we've already seen enough of American President Celebrity edition for the past 8 years and Trump's short but drama filled run.

I'd vote for her cause she is powerful famous figure and she's not corrupted so if she becomes President she might be able to see certain stuff that are corrupted and needs to be changed and therefore she might start doing something about it cause she has money, she knows huge amount of people that can do something about all kinds of issues, she might show all the crap on her TV show and therefore she might start helping the World by showing people what's really happening and what people can do about it and therefore she might start helping the World becoming more healthier, peaceful and more loving place to live, especially for future people! … she might be using her money to open all kinds of institutions that could help everyone (how to parent healthy kids, how the school should really function and teach children so that those children become healthy adults that are not depressed, anxious and have self-confident issues and who are very kind and loving towards themselves and other people, how to help teenagers with their issues, what should you do when you're an adult that has huge problems that you don't know how to solve, etc, etc...)!

That would be my opinion cause I can see that she knows lots of stuff... from spirituality to psychology & empowerment and she knows many people who can start doing something about all kinds of problems and therefore changing the World becoming much better and more loving place to live! I'm not sure that any other president would be making such an impact for wellness of everything as Oprah would so I'd rather have such kind president then any other president cause I believe America aswell as every other country needs presidents who highly care about wellness of everything not the ones that are narcissistic, arrogant, manipulative and lying to others - everyone is sick of such ones!
