I am looking for a job. I know that it doesn't guarantee anyone anything but I just picture HR departments putting the resumes of guys with names like mine all the way to the bottom because they have a quota to meet with some minority group. This is part of the reason why people like Dolezal do things like that. She saw a greater opportunity because people thought she was black. I think we can all agree she would NOT have had that job if the people who hired her knew she was white.
The reality is, that does occur here and there. But, not most HR departments.
If this is a serious concern to you, I suggest working on your self confidence. I realize the process is daunting but it's really important to be confident, communicate effectively, and don't seem desperate.
Let me shed some light on this: From the perspective of the HR department, their job massively blows, especially if they work for a big brand. A lot of pressure is on them to find the right people to fill the positions and they get completely bombed with resumes. So, when they find a person that fits, they might be "poker faced" during an interview or on the phone, but the reality is, it's their job to hire that person.
So, it's a highly ineffective filtration process. You have to take advantage of it's inefficiency by spamming out your resume and being persistent. If 50% of the people they hire are for the reason of "affirmative action" then that means the other 50% are hired because "it was the first resume in the pile where I was convinced the person was qualified." That's because, HR has to do their job…
Edit: I guess what I'm trying to say here is, you need to get the concept that the HR department is your enemy out of your head. They are most certainly your friends. You can't buy into that other crap because you're it's self defeating.
AA doesn't mean there are less jobs available to any one class, it just means it, in some cases, less effort is required for those people to get jobs. Also, the way the job market is today in the US: I suggest trying to actively get your resume out to 50 companies a day until your phone rings. If you have prepared to be interviewed, it won't take very long.

Rawr, I totally hear what you are saying. That particular AA statement was copied from a job posting from the state of MA. I do believe in many government organizations they do actively seek out minorities and my resume will go to the bottom of the pile to fill a quota.
I listened to the Boston Police commissioner on the radio the other day talk about the racial balance of the Boston police force. He made a comment about the city being 9% Asian but only 3% of the police force was Asian. He then stated it was this way because they simply didn't get enough candidates who wanted to be police but he certainly implied that an Asian would go to the top of the pile.
I'm not looking to be a cop but if I was I am immediately at a disadvantage because of the color of my skin.
It probably doesn't help that I can't climb a wall or shoot a gun either. lol

Since you clearly have no idea what is going on, I'll recap for you.
You said she faced "barriers". I pointed out that being a woman, she did not. You said that men don't have pussies. I pointed out that having a pussy means nothing in gender equality. You got butt hurt, as always.
At first you said she may identify with blacks because of universal issues that all people face. Now you are saying that she identifies with black women because she's also a woman. You still haven't shown how that made her want to be "trans-racial". Using your logic, "trans-racial" would be a well documented a common thing.
Am I to assume that you are saying that Rice needed lower standards than other races or the pussy pass to get into college? My argument is that other races are punished by being required to meet higher standards than blacks. It also harms blacks because people view their accomplishments as being solely due to AA.
As for AA and women, it may have had it's day, but now that 2/3rds of the people in college are women, it's doing nothing but harming men.
LOL, ok so only blacks are victims of profiling. Gottcha. When there's a serial killer on the loose, it's automatically assumed to be a white guy, until specific evidence says otherwise. As a white guy, I got long looks from police and non police when I went to the Soul Food Cafe in Chicago. If I drove my car there, I'd get pulled over on occasion.
Blacks need to take responsibility for their being profiled. Stop being 43+% of cop killers (but only 26.2% of those shot by cops). Stop being responsible for 56% of all violent crime.

@raphjd: Your argument is weak and invalid because you have an irrational fixation on bringing gender equality into a discussion that has absolutely nothing to do with gender equality. The discussion is primarily focused on the fact that women of different races can relate to one another and as a result, some women may relate much stronger than necessary and change themselves to feel more connected to a group or individuals within a group that they identify strongly with; as was the case of Rachel Dolezal.

You made it about her being a woman and women facing barriers. I pointed out that women in the west do not face barriers, in fact it's completely the opposite.
You make it sound like women are mentally weak.
BTW, last Oct, she just changed her name to Nkechi Amare Diallo, Nigerian for "gift of god".

Some of you guys are a bit clueless…..
1. Rachel D was exposed by her white parents.
2. Affirmative Action programs help white women more than people of color
3. The largest Affirmative Action program in the USA is the GI Bill... Which when it first was issued excluded Black People.
4. There are many studies that show there are still racial issues in the USA in many countries.

Not sure who you are directing that at, but no one said otherwise.
1. And, that means what?
2. That doesn't change the fact that AA sets different standards based on race to get into college. I also mentioned that WOMEN get special treatment under AA in college admissions.
3. And that has to do with this thread how? As a white guy, I get no benefit from AA.
4. Sure. As Morgan Freeman says, if you make everything about race, everything will be racial. If you race bait every single issue (MTV Decoded and many others), especially with lies like HANDS UP, DON'T SHOOT, everything will be about race. When you allow blacks to treat whites in a way that would not be tolerated if the races were reversed, then you are going to have racial problems. When blacks (and liberal cucks) defend a BLM Toronto boss over tweet she made about killing men and whites, there will be racial issues. When blacks (and liberal cucks) defend another BLM leader over creating fake Twitter accounts and tweeting anti-black racist messages, there's gonna racial problems. If you want to scream BLACK LIVES MATTER every time a black criminal is killed, while sending death threats to that black grandmother who go angry over the murder of a 9yo girl doing her homework, people are gonna think your movement is a bunch of shit. If you are willing to prevent ambulances from getting through, you need a bullet in the head, because it shows that your "movement" is more important than people's lives. If you are willing to be responsible for 43% of cop killings, then be thankful you make up only 26% of cop shootings.

The public shaming of this woman needs to stop. Once I saw her speak on NBC i felt she was a little "off". People should just leave her alone.
I admit the story is interesting… -

I admit the story is interesting…As long as she remains a media whore, then we have every right to keep talking about her.

I assume she is coming forward with this information in the hopes that someone offers her a job. I hope she gets one. I don't think she did anything that bad. It's not like she was trying to hurt black people. She was helping them.
A little racist humor.. don't hate me!
Rachel Dolezal got the idea that to officially be black, she had to apply for food stamps.
