      I like listening to electronic music while I workout.  Lyrics are simple so you don't get distracted and the upbeat tempo fills you with energy.  Also if you get the Original Mixes (instead of Radio Edits) they last around 4-5 mins.

      Of course it depends on the kind of music you like.  And since you're doing planks…I guess the least you need is music that makes you want to move.  😊

      Here's my energy mix playlist I listen:

      DallasK - Alienz
      DallasK - Superfuture
      DallasK - Blackmail

      Ultra Naté - Automatic
      Zaa - Five Minutes of Love
      Swedish House Mafia - Greyhound
      SNBRN - Raindrops

      I actually like Alienz the most because it has a part where the music keeps ascending and that fills me with energy. I could just loop it for all my workout session's duration.

        It depends what kind of workout you're doing.  If you're going for a cardio workout, I've found club/dance music works really well to keep you going because of the typical fast pace.  If you're lifting I would suggest some harder type of music.

        Lifting-NIN, Orgy etc
        Cardio-Britney, Katy etc

          Thank you very much for the help, but I just noticed that all of these songs are “electronic dance music” and isn't one of my favorites genres, so I'll be like a torture instead of a motivation for me.

                If you like rap, Lil Wayne's got some good songs (6 Foot 7 Foot). Sia's "Cheap Thrills" and "Elastic Hearts" are on my playlist as well.

                  I get what you're saying- I've improved my plank times by listening to Beyonce. There's this really cool extended version of Countdown that's so much fun to plank to. Although it's about 4min 20 sec. Not quite 5 mins.

                        Just listen to songs you really like. Sometimes I listen to more upbeat songs and sometimes I listen to more mellow songs.

                          Anhalt EBM is essentially a throwback genre made up of bands trying to sound like DAF, and a lot of it is good for working out. Most songs in this style aren't terribly long, though. Usually, they are pretty average pop song lengths of 2-4 minutes. A lot of other post-industrial/dance industrial stuff has a better balance of length and workout-friendly accessibility, though:
                          My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult
                          Foetus
                          Skinny Puppy (before they turned into ohGr 2.0)

                          Something with a long narrative to go along with a propulsive rhythm is also good for working out. These might seem like peculiar choices for workout music, but I've personally gotten good mileage out of them:
                          Current 93 - Beausoleil
                          Throbbing Gristle - Very Friendly (be sure to listen to this one on solitary pre-dawn walks)
                          You can focus on the lyrics and lose decent chunks of time in the process.

                          Old school, mid/fast-paced grindcore is good for workouts too, though I dunno if many will be into that suggestion. I'd still say the rhythmic, stomping riffs are very conducive to working out. Only problem is, most of the songs are ~30-60 seconds long. String enough of them together, though…

                            Mostly my workout is push up and some type of that, I'm planning to reach 200-300 times a day. I don't usually choose a specific theme or genre or the singers when I workout. The music must the one I like or songs that I want to listen at the time. Because I tried this, I put all my songs list to shuffle on and in the middle of my workout, song that I get bored or just dislike was playing, and it actually kill the spirit.

                            So now, I just put list of songs that I want to hear when I workout, it really help.
