I myself think it's all a rumor, but here's the deal.
Charlie Sheen was just drugged up and horny and he would allow both women and men to have sex with him. That's how he became HIV positive.
Supposedly one the guys he had sex with claimed to have pictures/videos and a "sex tape" of their sexual relations.
Charlie Sheen then offered to give one of these guys a hefty sum of money if he did not release the tape. So Charlie Sheen sent him money and the tape/pictures were never released.
However once the news got out that Charlie Sheen was HIV positive and he himself didn't even know it, the guy with the sex tape changed his tune.
He then supposedly showed a section of the tape to TMZ, Radaronline, etc all these celebrity gossip sites claimed the tape is real and and shit etc.,
However the guy wanted money and anonymity which the sites didn't want to give him either, so that was that.
I don't think a tape even exists. Celebrity sex tapes or nsfw nudes are released all the time without any hassle or trouble. This just seems very fishy to me.
So if there is a "sex tape", (which I don't think there is) the only person who has the full version is the guy who Charlie Sheen slept with, and other celebrity gossip sites probably have a censored or edited version which they cannot release for legal reasons.
