Does Trump's victory in the Presidental election worry you as an LGBT individua?

I am more than terrified. Horrified, sad and if I was able I would leave the country. He is the American version of Hitler. I had a dream last night that he rounded up all the gays and took us to the concentration camps…...just like Hilter did to the jews during the holocaust. I have read several articles that state he is the Anti-Christ and the 666 sign is underneath the scar on his head...all things 666 relate to Trump more that is just a coincidence. I do believe that during his reign as God of America we will see the end of the world in more ways than one.
So terribly sad here and I can't believe that he actually won.Not sure if satire or just plumb crazy (really hard to tell these days)… Laughing all the same.

I support deporting ALL illegals. Why is that one law we don't enforce?
Illegals harm legal immigrants in that they are given amnesty and in most cases, they get priority in the queue. This is why I (and my husband) now live in the UK. My husband's green card was pushed back until after his visa expired, so we had to leave the US.
Allowing illegals to stay does nothing but say to those that are considering it, that we don't care about US laws.

As for gay marriage, that would take a lengthy constitutional change process. Changing the constitution isn't an easy process.

I think there ought to be a compromise with illegals here already (who don't necessarily always have the means or the opportunity to emigrate legally), as long as they aren't engaging in any egregious criminal activities and are willing to prove they want to become citizens if given some opportunity. How we do that? I don't know, but it's a potential compromise I think is worth considering.
I think it's a bit un-American to say we ought to restrict legal immigration outright, or kick out everyone here illegally. But I can also see how it's reasonable to put a temporary bottleneck on legal immigration, and stop looking the other way in allowing illegal immigration to continue until shit gets sorted out on our end. It's not about "keeping them out", which is how liberals always frame this issue. It's about tending to our own people's needs (all of them, no matter what their race or economic status) before letting floods more come in, especially those not contributing in taxes. Most Americans are not wealthy. A lot can't even afford insurance. I'm not insured myself. It hasn't been easy.
And, so, it seems logical enough to me to stop the leak before trying to mop up the puddle. It's sad that it's come to that, but I've not heard any sensible suggestions apart from that, just a lot of privileged, out-of-touch liberals shrieking "XENOPHOBIA!" because they apparently don't know how much better they have it than the average, impoverished American. Nobody but the actual few-and-far-between racists/nationalists (who are themselves disproportionately poor and disillusioned, if you want some perspective on their misguided views) "likes" the idea of locking out the tired, poor, huddled masses. It's completely contrary to our American principals. But it seems like a necessary evil at times. No one likely ever imagined what an overpopulated clusterfuck the world would become when they came up with those American principles, after all. Of course we want to take in everyone who wants a part of the American Dream, but there's not enough apple pie to go around, no matter how much it stings to admit that.
I'm still reluctant to get behind slogans like "round 'em up" and "build a wall", though. They're mostly as desperate as the rest of us. It's easy to be angry and unsentimental and say "fuck 'em all", especially when you can't even get insurance or any other kind of help, speaking from experience. But I can't forget that they are still people, and most of them are not malicious, underhanded tricksters trying to willfully bleed America dry, they're just desperate people trying to get away from even more corrupt governments and to survive. So, give the illegals already here who are willing to become naturalized, documented immigrants a chance (a real chance, not a hand-out or a free ride). If they refuse to accept that opportunity, then it's on them for getting sent back, or otherwise stripped of free access to healthcare and things of that nature.

Nazi Germany was one of many countries who adopted eugenic policies, which was meant to improve the genetic stock of their population. Such programs often included both "positive" measures, such as encouraging individuals deemed particularly "fit" to reproduce, and "negative" measures such as marriage prohibitions and forced sterilization of people deemed unfit for reproduction.
People deemed unfit to reproduce often included people with mental or physical disabilities, people who scored in the low ranges of different IQ tests, homosexuals, criminals, deviants, and members of disfavoured minority groups.
The concentration camps were the logical extension of this eugenic policy: kill people deemed unfit.
Jewish people were NOT the only victims. But because many of the other victims are still considered "unfit", "undesirable", "unacceptable", many are happy to pretend they don't exist and/or were not victims.
After the war, the treatment of homosexuals in concentration camps went unacknowledged by most countries, and some men were even re-arrested and imprisoned based on evidence found during the Nazi years. It was not until the 1980s that governments began to acknowledge this historical fact.

More than Trump himself, I'm more afraid of what (some of) his supporters are capable of doing and ARE doing right now.
I understand that Trump is only against illegal immigrants and not legal immigrants, but that fact didn't stop many of his supporters from harassing and threatening soooo many people of color, LGBT+ people, Muslims etc.
I have read about over 50 such incidents that occurred all over the country which took place on the first day of Trump presidency.
A FEW examples:- A black man's car was atrociously vandalized with the words "NIG*ER" and "Trump" right next to each other.
- A gay man has been brutally attacked by Trump supporters right after the election results were announced. They smashed a bottle over his head and was left bleeding profusely while they yelled, "We got a new president you fucking fagg*ts."
- A woman of color was threatened by white Trump supporters in a gas station who asked her to leave the country, and then proceeded to pull out a gun on her and said, "If there weren't any witnesses, I'd kill you right now."
The internet is blowing up with MANY more such incidents.
So, while Trump cannot directly make drastic changes in the law and stuff like that without going through all the necessary processes which I assume are governed by a number of people, his supporters are almost free to do as they like. THEY are the ones who are spreading white supremacy, racism, sexism, homophobia and xenophobia. And they are taking advantage of the fact that Trump, a person who has in fact spoken out on all this things in a negative way, even if he didn't mean them on such a degree, is now president. And they feel like they can do what they want and not get in trouble for it, because their thought process will be, "A guy who supports all my ideals is president, so why can't I do these things?"
So in conclusion, I'm more afraid of what his supporters will/could do, rather than Trump himself.

Trump has been watering down his rhetoric since the election. As an example, he's already said that he plans on keeping big chunks of "Obama-care", but prior to the election, he said he was going to repeal all of it.

BLM came about as a result of police brutality and unlawful/unjustified killings, that were particularly inflicted upon the black community.

The immediate worry is how Trump's rhetoric has given a surge of empowerment and free license for people to spew hate/violence. I avoided the news since the election and was curious to know if acts of vandalism/violence against minority groups started to trend up and skimming the first few posts here, was disheartened to see that was the case.
I realize I sound like a broken record if I yet again bring up the similarities in the UK after their referendum vote. But yeah, dramatic increases violence and verbal threats against the the Polish, Muslims, etc and even those who may have been 2nd/3rd generation immigrants.
Long term worry is who will be appointed to the Supreme Court. Hoping for a moderate like Chief Justice Roberts (who I respect greatly because of his fair approach) and definitely hoping a clone of Justice Thomas or Scalia isn't next in line.
I'd feel a little more at ease if Democrats had control of something to counterbalance, but it is not meant to be

The thing that bothers me the most is that this election has brought out the worst in people. It seems that bigotry, racism, misogyny, and homophobia have been legitimized. After all the strides forward we've made, I feel that we may be set back 50 years.
As an Independent who didn't vote for Hillary or Trump: If anything's been legitimized, it's left wing hysteria and baseless accusations of "bigotry, racism, misogyny, and homophobia". People don't think about anything critically or objectively anymore, they just regurgitate sensational BS and shout "isms" they hear in their Facebook and Twitter echo chambers.
The fact is, Hillary was/is so enmeshed in corruption and guilty of so much blatant hypocrisy, people felt they couldn't trust her. "Racists" didn't vote, people who saw how unbelievably corrupt and insultingly dishonest Clinton was, and how deeply her corruption appears to run throughout the American political system, even the media (CNN, anyone?), voted.
In short, Trump is the last guy I'm concerned about. I'm more afraid of the hysterical, rioting protesters than the alleged racist/homophobic/whatever boogeymen coming out of the woodwork that I keep hearing about from Liberals, but have yet to see. I'm more afraid of the people around Trump than I am of the bumbling fool himself (Mike Pence, for one. But that's why they call VP's "assassination insurance", right?).

I did campaign for Jill Stein, on facebook at least and a few former friends did not like that I did not support or vote for Hillary, and some even went as far as blaming me for Donald Trump being elected even though both Jill Stein and Gary Johnson and other 3rd party candidates did not "steal votes from Hillary and give them to Trump", so they no longer talk to me because of this; but it's their loss.

Even though the FBI have gone to a FISA court to investigate Trump links with Russia and the findings will be sealed.

Even though the KKK are holding a Trump victory march next month in NC and there have been reports of many terrorist attacks as a result of the election.
And that's only what's known this week, be prepared for much more.
I can't imagine what people would have to protest about, but maybe they should have the armed revolution the Trumpsters were planning ;D

Our marriage was left hanging in limbo again. The Supreme Court's Obergefell v. Hodges ruling which allowed same sex marriage across the entire U.S. was only a 5-4 ruling. Despite the claims that it's been decided once and for all, the history of the court shows otherwise. There have been many decisions throughout history which have later been reversed - think about the sodomy laws which were upheld then later overturned. Currently the Republican party holds the majority in both houses of Congress and in the White House. They have chipped away at Roe v. Wade with the eventual intent of overturning it. They are also doing the same to Obergefell v. Hodges with their Religious Freedom Restoration acts. This is a time for all people of color, all women, and all LGBTQ people in the USA to live in terror. Even if Trump is impeached for some reason, that leaves Pence. Pence is an advocate of making all abortions illegal, even in the cases of rape or the survival of the mother. Pence has also advocated electro-shock therapy equivalent to torture banned by the Geneva Convention to convert LGBTQ people to straight. He pushes this even though the medical community has debunked the conversion therapy as not only ineffective, but actually harmful.
This election has set LGBTQ and women's rights back 60 years.
