How many relationships is a lot?

As far as relationships, I am 42 years old and currently in my 6th relationship. I'd like to say I've only had one, but people often change and grow apart. I'm not sure there really is a normal amount. You really just have to find someone you can be happy with, but not someone who, "completes you."

Ive only been in 3 proper relationships in my life and I'm 36 years old!
Totally not odd at all! I'm 33 and I have only had 3 full-on relationships. There were a few minor boyfriends or summer flings, but only 3 actually boyfriends who I either lived with, or felt that deep emotional connection. I took myself off the market about 8 years ago after my last relationship. Only a little play here and there. Very sporadic. I'm not the most attractive guy; I'm interesting and witty. But not the kind of guy that people stop to look at when he enters the club lol
I don't judge. I've had my slutty phase(es)
On the flip side, I know straight dudes and gay dudes alike who are serial monogamists. This one guy was bi, and he just couldn't be out of a relationship. He made his own money and such, but he just HAD to have a gf or bf. I felt sorry for that compelling feeling he always had.Good luck, good life! :cheers: :love:

I've had 4 relationships and my last one is ending soon, because he is going to leave. He is a student of physics and planning to go abroad for further studies and maybe to work and live there. :cry2:

No relationship at all and not interested at the moment… I enjoy sex and friendship, and friendship-with-benefits, love also cuddling and kissing, etc. but at the moment not feeling ready to commit myself to one person.

if you mean one night stand relationships, that can be a tough one.
3-4 serious ones till ur 40 is quite average i guess.

If one assumes that a certain number of relationships is a lot he is making nothing but a judgemental statement. Each one has his own story, his own timing; people's lives and experiences cannot be reduced to a plain and simple number.
