I've used PrivateVPN for years. I have no complaints other than being a little on the expensive side. I tried NordVPN recently and discovered they have no public IP/port forwarding options so I went scrambling back to PrivateVPN.

I guess buying a proxy would be best than buying a vpn for people downloading torrents
          any one know about it?

I'm using ExpressVPN and it works like a charm.  Plus, you get to use your account on three different streams at one time.

For me that means I can have the desktop downloading torrents while the VPN on my android phone is also active.  If i had a tablet, second phone or other desktop that needed VPN service, it would handle that as well.

Best of all, no logs so no problems (or so they promise).

Search for reviews about the service and you'll find a lot of four and five star ratings and people who are shocked to find out they have customer service that you can actually reach.  Some VPNs do not handle Skype and the like;  Not a problem here.

NordVPN  Private Internet Access but personally for me i go with Pure VPN  for the fact that i can customise my security depending on what i want to do eg anon , or anon P2P or geo restriction bypass , at the click of a button.

Try Astrill @ hxxps://www.astrill.com.  It comes at around $6 per month / $70 per year - it's worth every penny.

Astrill have massive horrible ratings in relation to customer service a grading of 10% satisfaction is BAD

But on the other hand, if you never need to contact customer service (for any company) you judge by what you are actually paying for.

I pay my ISP for my connection - I hope I never need to contact their customer service. Just a thought

I can only refer to my own experience, and I've never had a bad customer service experience with them in over 5 years - and for the avoidance of doubt, I'm not working for them or get paid to advertise on their behalf.

I use "privateinternetaccess.com" their yearly rate is really good ($39.95 yearly) and they don't keep log files; also you can log in as if you are in Canada, US, England..etc. They have a client you can download to use that is free as well. I am on a Mac and chose to buy "viscosity" as my vpn client instead as it had some advanced features I wanted. Good luck

I have been using VPN Unlimited for over a year. Only problem I find with it,  I have to turn it off to send emails using Thunderbird, incoming no problem. Apart from that is fine.

I've used a few, but the only one I've been 100% happy with is BT Guard.  I've used it for a few years now.

I also use Private Internet Access and has been mentioned they provide a list of places so that you can sign on as if you reside there.  The only thing so far is that in the last couple of weeks there has been a notification that there is an upgrade available.  I download the upgrade but cannot figure out what to do next even tho I follow the instructions on the download.  Anyone know?

I use HMA (Hide My Ass) and have been using for a couple of years now.  Have had a couple problems and contacted customer service and they had me up and running in minutes.  Very fast and courteous customer service and reasonably priced.  You have the option of taking it month to month, for 6 months or a year at a time and you have the ability to sign on as if you were anywhere in the world.  Tried others but found that HMA was the best for me!  🙂

Pleased thank everyone for the time they take to upload torrents for our benefit and Have a great day!!!!!

Hi Guys  I have been using ivacy for some six months now and have found it user friendly and very effective.  Only US$39 for two years. There are many options, but I find the simplest is logging into a country 12 hours away, ie my daytime, their sleeping/inactive time. Also do a Wiki and find the countries with the fastest internet.

You can alternatively get a seedbox and use their vpn when you want. I have one from Ultraseedbox and have been very happy with them for more than two years now. It comes with an openvpn in addition to the seedbox. It runs on gigabit connections, so its always as fast as your home internet. I can personally say that I love being able to download a bunch of torrents to the seedbox in only a few seconds (if they have enough seeders), so I never have to worry about one or more being deleted if I were downloading directly to my computer.

                                            @Nafka:

As the title suggests, im looking for a VPN and I have no idea where to start. Not relay looking for a free one as I know you get what you pay for. Im looking for one easy to use and not very confusing. If anyone can provide the names/website of 3 VPN's for me to look at it would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried several. My first was the free service through VPNBook.Free was nice, but their servers were slow and clunky and you can only to P2P transfers on a couple of them (the slowest of them!).

I tried hide.me and they seemed alright–they've got a free option that you can try as well, but it's got a 2G limit per month on data transfers and that lasted me literally about 4 hours.  Their paid service is touted to be much faster, it is offered in two tiers.  45GB limit and unlimited.  I found them to be reasonably--about 19 and 12 bucks respectively.

The one I settled on has been reliable, offers multiple servers from which to choose and with monthly billing its about 11.50 a month.  It's expressvpn.com and that's who I would recommend.
