Need Some Serious Help!

Hello to all!
I am writing a romance novel about a greek and a japanese guy falling in love.
The problem is that i know next to nothing about japanese guys or about Tokyo.
In this novel i will try to connect to dots between the different cultures and how can introduce the greek character to the japanese ways so he can approach his love interest. I also plan to introduce the japanese guy to the greek lifestyle.
What i want to know is…
A good detailed look of Tokyo.
How is it possible for a japanese third scale education student to attend to a greek third education institute.
Anything there is to know about the japanese life style, gay or not. What i can use or what i must avoid in order to avoid any unintended misunderstandings. I really want to introduce Japan's life style to the greek readers.
What you must know is that my japanese character is a famous pop star singer who comes in Greece with his real identity and profession concealed. So i need to know how show business in Japan works.
I really would like to know to write japanese in order to make my novel more realistic but i do not know how. Is there any way so i can write japanese dialogue with english characters?I would apprieciate any tip and help!
