      Mr. Hikaru Sulu, played by John Cho in the reboot of the Star Trek franchise, is being revealed as gay in the next film, Star Trek Beyond.

        I've heard about it, and it's great! Specially when you remember that George Takei, that played Sulu in the original series, is himself gay and an important LGBT rights activist.
