Any advice for a Beginner of Dragon Age??

Hey Guys,
I just got introduced to this game….so I'm wondering if there's any fans out there who's played from the first series Origins until the latest one Inquisition....to give some advice on how to start?? I'm not a gamer either....so I am literally starting this completely blind....hoping for a little help.....any advice would be great!!
I am also a fan of watching playthroughs on Youtube but there's so many out there these days....I'm not quite sure who I should follow....so if there's anyone who knows of a really good gameplay walkthrough of Dragon Age (that preferably follows the gay storylines...or plays as a gay character) please can you also share the link so I can have a guide with me along this journey.....LOL....

i only played the first one so anything i say only applies to it
for the gay part, i recall a male main character can have sex with the male elf you recruit, i don't think there's much more than that, but haven't played it in ages
as for advice, since telling you exactly a specific setup wouldn't be interesting (and it also depends on your playstyle) i'd only say you should avoid having too many characters that have the same role, they should be different as to cover each other weakness, you should have a tank (preferably with a shield) a mage (for support/healing) and the rest as you see fit (pretty much more muscle or more magic)

Wow, first game and going for DA, nice choice. I applaud whoever it was who introduced it to you. I have played a fair amount of DAO, but not all of it since my computer overheats so quickly these days whenever I use it. If you decide you want to romance a male character that isn't canonically queer, then you may have luck in finding a mod that makes them romanceable on Nexus Mods.
