The truth is being Asian will prevent you from getting work in some areas, but don't take it to mean being Asian is a negative factor. Like eboy states, many porn companies have a particular look they're going for when it comes to their models, trying to cater to the taste of a particular type of guy, not the masses;no company can make a product of the masses. I'd take this as less of a roadblock towards a future career in porn and more of an opportunity to play to your strength: Young, skinny, Asian look. Though your look will get your application automatically denied in some cases (there are applications out there that have things like no dark skinned bottoms or Asian tops), it'll put you right at the top of the pile in other instances.

Most companies that cater to your look, like Daddy's Asians and Privateboymovie, are based overseas, but there are companies that are known to feature guys like you in the USA. The Asiancy, Peter Le's series, is all about focusing on Asian men and is definitely one to look into, though I believe you'd need to bulk up slightly (which isn't something too bad because, hey, jobs require effort). What I like about the Asiancy is that there's more avenues for Asian tops, even if the company is too vanilla for my taste. Machofucker is all about interracial sex and is known to feature guys that look a lot like you in their bottom roles. Looking at your pictures I'd say that would be the best fit that I'm aware of, but Machofucker is also the company that wants bottoms to take 9+ inches of cock, so y'know…its a company you'd have to train for to say the least.

I'd keep my search focused on daddy/son companies, Asian focused companies and interracial focused companies. Of course knowing if I'll succeed or not gives me doubt on this path, buuuut if I knew for sure, 100 percent that I could make a living off of it for some amount of years, I'd definitely be willing. Just because people continue to post in the thread doesn't mean they're directly addressing the original poster with their comments. That's making an assumption that each and every thread created on the forums is a self-serving orgy of information for an original poster – not so. They're group discussions.

People continue to talk in the thread because they're similarly interested and more or less sharing opinions and knowledge with each other. The thread has value, still, it's an interesting topic. I couldn't care less if the creator is long gone.
