Sixteen for me, almost a decade ago now.

I think it's younger and younger these days. There are still many closeted older guys though. It's hard to break a generational mentality.

I had a 12 year old confide in me. Now he and his boyfriend spend a lot of time with me and we watch classic movies and talk about stuff that they couldn't talk about to others. I don't want them to go through the same trouble I went through.

I came out to my family at 13. To my HS at 17. Keep in mind that I had just moved and when I got to the new school, I was open with it from the beginning. The only reason I waited until then was that I had a huge crush on my str8 best friend at the previous location, and I was worried that if he knew I had feelings for him, it would damage the friendship we had.

I knew when I was 12, I didn't as much come out of the closet but exploded out of it.
My parents found my porn stash when I was 16.
