Civilization is built upon and evolves through diversity, that is what it makes us as humans so unique.
Now it is possible to have gay only communities, as we currently have senior only communities, that may be possible. You could though say that for any particular community group, that desires no diversity and is seclusive.
But why? Acceptance is what is needed and not segregation.
The world is changing, and many countries accept the gay community as equal, but for sure not all and persecution is still very much alive, including severe penalties.
When I think of the innocents whom have done nothing wrong and paid the ultimate price, in many cases with their lives, I
weep openly.As a gay man, I do not want to hide, I dont want to feel I am not part of my community. I want mutual respect and support.
It is an interesting discussion point, though and I thank the original poster.

I agree with what Jamie said, Diversity is key to survival. Even if we manage to create a gay-only country how can we ensure survival. What if someone's child grows up to be a straight person? Would he be sent off? Also creating this country would mean segregating society based on something superficial, it will only be a start before other ridiculous demands start coming up like a state for bears, a state for bisexuals etc.

why we can not live together peacefully and in harmony all, regardless of sex, Relegion or worldview, it is so simple but it will always remain a dream, and why, because we are human.

That would be really cool, but biggest issue are the states who have extreme laws against gays who would love to bomb the "gay state". So that wouldn't be practical, gays would go extinct - who would lay those gay eggs and breed the Mother to recover the army? :funny2: :funny2:

Ideas like that just promotes separatism, which could cause a huge problem and a major setback for any LGBT. I personally don't want being gay to be defining trait and if gays would start their own country that would just make us seem like we do not accept the world, so why should they. In most western countries now being gay doesn't mean anything or isn't something that stops you from getting what you want, it's your own mindset that does that.

I want a country with hot muscle boys and they're not allowed to wear clothes, only skimpy speedos. They make an exception for me of course.
As for the rest, I don't think that gay people are smarter than others or better so a gay country (other than the one described above) might not be the paradise on earth.
