Great plant for difficult stony soil

If they have them in your region i would suggest butterfly plants
they are beautiful to look at with bright butterfly shaped flowers and grows as a shrub in pretty much any soil
it also doesnt need much water which is ideal for arid climates
any thoughts? -
You have to tell us a little more, is it an acidic or alcaline soil, cold and wet, dry climate?
If you have very good drainage there are lot's of plants from bulbs to mediterranean plants like lavender and more, but we need to know more to make suggestions.
