Regarding wrong category on a torrent

Thanks Popper that was what I was wondering although I may not have expressed myself correctly.

I think I only made the mistake of commenting on a torrent once due to it being a wrong category, maybe twice I am slow learner.  I know there's a silly little orphan comment out there somewhere on a torrent no longer marked as bareback where I mention condoms and anyone who sees it thinks "Hey that Semtex is a pretty samrt guy seeing condoms where condoms should be".  Doh.

Sub-category misplacement could be due to different factors but if one notices an inaccuracy draw attention to it with the "Report this torrent" function, correct?

That's what I usually do, just a note saying 'I think this belongs in…' or 'Could you correct the title so search works properly...' - no need to go in with all guns blazing

It should be noted:  I never drive drunk because I am a designated drinker.  Made a very sound decision when I was 16 that cars seemed to be a waste of money.

The internet on the other hand.  Oh dear me.  Even leaving off substances of any sort and looking at my usage since I got a tablet.  I wake up some mornings and think "Thank God I fell asleep before posting that" or the even worse when I go about my day only to find out from a friend what I managed to post before falling asleep.

I woke up this week to find "Pornogami: A Guide to the Ancient Art of Paper-Folding for Adults" 2 clicks from being purchased on Amazon.  I couldn't even figure out how I got myself to that point.

All of which is just to say sometimes when inspecting the latest offerings of art Uncle Semtex can be in a state of elevation shall we say?  Also Semtex isn't just my login, it's also an explosive and both of us blow up real good.

Finally, sometimes it does actually seem like some uploaders purposely mislabel titles as bareback as I have to believe there can't be that many lazy/stupid guys uploading.

I have used the report a torrent function many times however I wasn't sure if misplaced or wrong sub-category warranted the same action.

Now I know and the more I know, well, the more rounded individual I become, one certainly hopes.

Totally by accident got one of those wrapped porn scenes AGAIN.  Weird thing is it's currently my "go to" for my own money shot.  I even get off on the idea that he's wearing a condom.  If I develop some sort of condom fetish as a result of this I will hold all you sick perverts responsible!

There are condoms made of polyurethane and polyisoprene, should you have an allergy to latex. I think bareback is more trouble than its worth

I do think it's shitty that things are incorrectly tagged and that causes discomfort for you, but I feel like this is going to be a recurring thing for you. You're never gonna know if its incorrectly tagged unless you download it. Plus, somebody may tag it as bareback even if there's just one occurrence out of ten in it.

Whoopsie.  "Triggered" sounds way more serious than me basically just venting.  Really it just seems very careless to attach the incorrect label to a torrent but in my addled mind it also appears willful at times.  If it was just the occasional slip up, hey no biggie but when it gets to the point that I speak up…if my ridiculous claims of a reaction upon sight of latex or worse if my dramatization of a clearly "first world problem" has come across in any other way than just internet bitching I am sorry.

I have 2 polyurethane condoms that I would likely presume useless because I got them in 2010.  When it comes to play time I like to stick with my fellow plague carriers, it's just easier.  Last summer a negative slipped through all the filters and made it to the stage where he requested a condom.  Instead of searching those 2 out I just didn't ease off what I was doing so he could get off & get out.  Just to go even further off topic he later inquired about dropping by again and I agreed to another rendezvous while casually mentioning also displaying a picture of a femidom saying I would have it in place.  All the time I did use condoms I never had a reaction, it was only while wearing latex gloves that I was diagnosed as being allergic to latex.  He had a nice piece so I wouldn't mind putting a barrier in place and was curious about the product.  Figured it would be a good further test of this latex allergy.  I presume it caused some sort of allergic reaction on him though as I never heard from him again.

I will put the talking stick down now and perhaps back a way from the internet for an undetermined amount of time.

I totally understand, and I don't think you sound at all outraged, your just expressing a concern / opinion. Things that 'concern/piss me off'

1. mislabeled torrents
2. not bothering to make sure the directory or file name matches the torrent file name
3. not bothering to upload a movie thumbnail sheet or screen shot sheet of each file being uploaded
4. .flv/.wmv/.avi/.webm …. basically any filetype other than .mov or .mp4 .... is it so hard to convert them before sharing
5.  when people upconvert videos of lower quality make the file size huge but having the same quality as it's smaller file size counterpart.
6. when people upload files without sound and don't note it in the description
7. when people upload webcam recordings that don't end in a cum shot and don't mention it in the description.
8. sketchy sex and fraternityx are way too good and DMCA take downs making it hard to maintain my collection of their videos, and they don't update often enough for a membership to actually be worth it.... they should really think of doing some kind of joint membership plan.
9. studio films being listed under amateur and homemade

and the list goes on.... this is still the best community to be a part of, our fellow members are really good at sharing videos almost the day they're released, reposting older films in good quality that usually become favorites, seeding like crazy, and the widest variety of gay porn anywhere.  plus this is the only place i've found with people willing to share purchased xtube videos without asking for anything in reaturn.

Well, in your list are some items which make the upload worth a report:

1. mislabeled torrents
5. when people upconvert videos of lower quality make the file size huge but having the same quality as it's smaller file size counterpart.
6. when people upload files without sound and don't note it in the description
9. studio films being listed under amateur and homemade

A few remarks to other points:

The uploader might prefer not to rename the original file/folder to keep cross seeding easier

This would put an extra burden on uploaders. Converting means many times degrading, unless a pure stream copy into another container is made (aka remuxing).

Amateur is for studio made production with (pretended) amateur / first time models. Homemade is the category for pure non-commercial productions.

Things that 'concern/piss me off'…

Donald Trump as the next leader of the free world concerns me. People not appreciating members sharing pisses me off.

1. Ask a staff member to correct this. Maybe the uploader made a mistake and the time for him to correct it has gone.
2. As long as the torrent works, who cares about the name. I can teach you how to rename files/folders
4. So you want the uploader to do all the work for you. Why should he convert his original file for your convenience. I can name dozens of progs that will convert but why anyone would want a .mov file is beyond me
5. Didn't really understand your words.
6. Fair point if it really hasn't got sound but you can always add your own sounds, real or recorded
7. Why not just download cum compilations

Are you sure you really enjoy sites like these. I really do get pissed off (see above) with people who just moan about people sharing their time, effort and bandwidth for free and never seem to say thank you. I don't know if you in that category.
